The reason I got into dentistry is because I absolutely, when I was a kid, I never really had an issue going to the dentist. I always wanted to go to the dentist, and I enjoyed it. And as time went on, I feel like a smile is a very important thing in a person's life, and I just want to be able to help my patients achieve their smile goals and to get their smile back.
The most rewarding part in dentistry is definitely educating patients about their oral hygiene and also just giving a patient their smile back.
Dr. Punit Patel is a graduate of Texas A&M University, and he completed his DDS at the University of Southern California Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry. As a dental student, he received the Charles and Shirley Goldstein Endowed Community Service Award for outstanding dedication as a student volunteer. He also received the Student Humanitarian Award for showing leadership and participating in humanitarian service, including a mobile dental clinic.
Dr. Patel receives fulfillment in helping patients look and feel their best. He also enjoys general dentistry because he gets to interact with patients of all ages. His favorite part of dentistry is helping patients reach their oral health goals, which is why he prioritizes listening to his patients and thoroughly discussing their treatment options.
Outside of the office, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his family and friends, cooking, and traveling with his wife.
