Can dental veneers be repaired?

We might be able to repair your veneers if the damage is small. Minor chips, for instance, can be smoothed out. However, if your veneer has been cracked or split, then it will probably need to be replaced. If you should happen to have a veneer come entirely off, merely cover it in a soft tissue and bring it with you to the office so we can reattach it.

Are dental veneers painful?

The procedure for getting your new veneers should be pain-free. For some kinds of veneers, we may need to remove a small amount of tooth enamel to place them. However, considering that enamel doesn’t have any nerves, you shouldn’t feel any pain. If you do need an anesthetic, we use Oraqix, an anesthetic liquid.

How long do dental veneers last?

The majority of our patients can expect their brand-new veneers to last for a minimum of 10 years. Certain factors do affect this, however, including your oral care regimen and the types of foods that you consistently eat. If you tend to consume a great deal of hard or chewy foods, your veneers may not last as long.
