He Loves His Dental Implants

If you’re looking for a dentist’s office to take care of your teeth for now and your future, doing your regular maintenance, and somebody that I’m going to say that’s fully staffed to do anything you want with your mouth, I would highly recommend Sabal because they’re honest, they’re very professional, very congenial, and they make you feel like family. Obviously they’ve gotten my teeth all healthy. I’ve had two or three bridges put in as well as implants. And as far as getting all my teeth where they needed to be, they were able to carry me to where I’m at now. And matter of fact, I just had a cleaning yesterday, and the dental hygienist says, “Your teeth are doing great.” So I’ve been following their recommendations, and it’s worked out well for both of us.

I was having trouble with, as far as chewing my food, they were able to install the implants on both sides of my lower jaws. So I’ve got more or less a full set of molars on both sides as well as the top. A lot of times I would have to swallow my food and not properly chewing it or breaking it down. Now with the teeth that I have now, I can chew up that food before I swallow it, so that was a big deal for me. So chewing your food before you swallow and working with your digestive track and everything, it’s worked out quite well.

Why He Loves Coming to Sabal

I’ve always hated going to the dentist, but this is actually a fun place to go. So we just have a good time. I’m from a small town in the South, it just reminds me of a small-town atmosphere in the South. Everybody interacts. “Good morning.” My pet peeve has always been, especially with medical and dental professionals, is the wait time, okay? And maybe it’s because as a salesperson, I always tried to be early, okay? Because I think it reflects on you as a profession. But you get in and out of here relatively quickly, I think, as compared to other offices that I’ve been through over the years.

It’s just not so intense, right? That you just feel like you’re frightened going in there. Because dental stuff I think is scary to a lot of people, right? But you just don’t get that in here. And they’re just good people. And I think with kind of a family atmosphere, right? And I think in a lot of ways, I think that’s what’s missing in business today. I would recommend this place to anyone, really.

His Teeth Are Back to Perfect!

Well, since I arrived last year at Sabal, I came from another facility that I felt like was not giving me the right treatment. Once I arrived here, everybody was as pleasant as could be, and once I took my X-rays, they laid it out far as what I needed to do as far as treatment. We’ve stayed with the treatment. Now they got my teeth back to being perfect. I guess it was just years of abuse and the way I grind my teeth that created the issue, and they laid it out to me, and they’ve corrected that. Plus I do sales, so it helps my job. I can actually feel like I can actually communicate with my customers and my clients. At Sabal Dental, you can pretty much expect a great house to come visit, just like if you’re visiting your own house. People are going to be very courteous to you and kind, and then you’re going to actually receive the best help in the business, and you know you’re going to be taken care of.

Restoring His Smile

I remember when I was in the military, I used to do everything I could to get out of dental appointments. I think something about the sanctity of the human mouth, I guess. But no, not here. It’s just, I think, a nice relaxing place to go to have work done. I can understand people being a little leery about the dentist, but this is … it’s just a fun place.

I’ve just never really taken the time to take care of my teeth. And as I got older and actually started coming here, I met somebody that I enjoyed coming to see, dental-wise. Just made it easier. We did a couple crowns. So, yeah. Because I mean, I had teeth, especially here in the front, just kind of breaking and falling out. So, I mean, we had to do a couple of crowns in the front and the bridge.

So definitely, because I’m an outside sales rep, so right? I mean, you got to be in front of people all the time, and you’re always talking to customers. You’re talking to the end user, who’s your customer’s customer. So it definitely plays into the confidence role. I mean, just being able to look someone in the eye and explain an issue or being able to laugh or smile at them when you’re finished. Right? So, yeah, it makes a huge difference.

At Sabal Dental, you can expect to be treated professionally. Promptly, I think. I always have been. And I think you’ll enjoy the attitudes of the staff. They’re good, very good, at what they do, and they treat you like you want to be treated. And to me, that says it all.

The staff and hygienist are so kind and understanding. When I need a quick cleaning, they are efficient and get me out with a nice clean smile in 30 minutes ! And Dr Thompson worked well with my PTSD from childhood dental abuse. I’m no longer scared of the big bad needle. I got a crown that didn’t hurt at all! He’s the best !
