Restoring Damaged Teeth is A Breeze!

There came a time when I was having issues with some of my back teeth, specifically my molars in my back, with chewing and getting food caught and such. Here at Sabal, they did extensive X-rays and became obvious that we needed a root canal done and needed to be able to save the tooth. Had the initial treatment for the root canal and then knew that I had never had a crown before. That was one thing I did want to mention. Had never had an issue with a tooth so bad before and never needed a crown before. They made sure that everything was taken care of. When the crown was placed, it was incredible. It was like it was just my own tooth all over again. This has been probably six or seven years ago, and I have not had an issue with it since. I’m completely pleased and of course, overjoyed that I don’t have … It’s just like having my own tooth.

I would recommend folks coming here to have restorative work for a tooth because the treatment is personal. I keep going back to that, but the treatment’s very personal. They made me feel as comfortable as possible. They assured me that I would be well taken care of, and they delivered on that promise. They absolutely made me feel exactly that way.

Easy and Comfortable Procedures

I don’t go to the dentist nearly often enough, and I’m pretty new here to the valley, so I just put it off for probably a year and a half. I wasn’t able to use the right side of my mouth. I had to chew on the left side. I should have taken care of it a long time ago, but I didn’t. When I came in, they knew pretty quickly that I was going to need a root canal. From there, they went on to tell me everything that was going to happen. They explained the process to me and broke it down, and then we went forward with it.

I was kind of nervous about it, I’ll be honest. Getting a shot at the dentist makes me nervous, but my doctor was super cool. He was calm, reassuring. He did a great job throughout the process. There is a lot of fear associated with a root canal. I know because I just had it. I just went through it. That was something I brought up to my doctor when I went in, was just the fear that I had associated with that.

I think a big part of conquering that one, it’s made out to be worse than it is. It honestly is. With the technology that is given today, it’s just another procedure. It takes a little more time. I think the biggest part of it being easier for me is my doctor talking to me about it and explaining it, telling me what I was going to need, and telling me if there was ever going to be any pain associated with it. There’s not very much. It’s just a dull throb after it’s done for a day. Way easier than I thought.

I think that if you have anything wrong in your mouth, you need to get it taken care of early. I did not. I learned firsthand. If you put it off for any amount of time, it’s going to be worse, and it’s going to be more expensive. It’s going to be a longer process. You’re going to probably, more than likely, pay more. Go and get it done now. I mean, I’m incentivized by money. Other people, it’s fear of pain. It’s worth getting it taken care of, and it’s so much easier to do it early than later. You’re going to come to regret it if you keep putting it off.

Gentle Procedures

So I was in a lot of pain. One of my teeth, I wasn’t taking care of it as well as I should be, and whenever I would drink water, hot or cold, I would feel it shoot up my whole face, and it would be excruciating. So I would have to chew on the other side of my face, which would be really difficult. I had explained my signs and symptoms. As soon as I said I have felt the coldness and the warmth coming from the drinks that I drink and the pain whenever I would chew, they had educated me that maybe I should get a root canal. They educated me on the steps, what I would be going through, that I would be getting, I believe, local anesthesia.

Prior to having the root canal done, I had interviewed my friends and coworkers and family members that had root canals before, and they just scared me. They had told me that it’s the worst experience ever and you’re going feel it. You’re going to be in a lot of pain. They’re just going to be drilling into your teeth. I came here, I was just really anxious, and I was really scared. So whenever the doctor had injected the local anesthesia, I was kind of surprised. I just felt a little poke, and it wasn’t even that bad. I thought it was going to get worse, but it didn’t get any worse from then.

After the root canal, I just feel more comfortable. I can use my whole mouth, as weird as that sounds, to chew my food. You may have heard a bunch of stories, a bunch of horror stories about root canals, but to be honest, it’s really not that bad. It’s not as bad as everybody makes it seem. I had a really wonderful experience over here at Sabal Dental, especially with Dr. Salinas. My experience was just beyond words.

She Brings Her Whole Family

They are absolutely incredible with making schedules fit, especially now since I have young adult children who have been away at college. My kids, when they were younger and they were home, of course, in school, and such dental cleanings were no problem. But now that they’re off away in college but come home for spring break or Christmas break, they are always accommodating and make sure that they get their dental needs. We may forget, but they don’t forget. They always make sure that they have each of their needs in mind.

Knowing the way that I grew up going to a dentist and having the fears that I had about that, being able to not have to pass that fear along to my own children, they know how important it is. They have grown up now in the Sabal family, and they don’t have to have that same fear that I did when I was growing up. I would recommend Sabal Dental as a family practice because they take care of all of your needs, from being a very small member of the family to very older members of the family. I may be, my husband may be, we all have come for years now, and we have always felt welcomed, we’ve always felt accommodated. Whatever needs that we seem to bring forward, they have a way to take care of us.

He Loves Coming to This Practice!

I love coming to this practice more than anything. The wait time is next to nothing. I have a really busy schedule, so every time I get here and can get seen right away is the best part of it. They make you feel like you’re part of their family, is the biggest part. They’re always smiling at you and glad to see you when you’re coming in. The majority of the time, or if not every single time, they call you by your first name, which is very rare. The doctors and the staff are always really good to ask all kinds of questions if I need anything. It’s just a family atmosphere, really good.

The level of their care is just tremendous. They explain everything to you and what they’re doing and how it’s going to benefit you, and I feel comfortable in what they’re doing. It’s just a peace of mind you can’t put a price to.

I would recommend Sabal Dental because the level of quality of work that they perform here is pretty much next to none, from my experience. They just make you feel at home, and their recommendation is pretty much off the charts.
